「除了」的8種用法

                 在我們的日常生活中，「除了」是個很常出現的開頭語。像是在逛街的時候，我們會問店員說：「請問這件衣服除了架上這件，還有新的嗎？」又或是「請問除了這個顏色，還有其他顏色的嗎？」諸如此類的。那在英文裡面，我們要怎麼說呢？寫英文作文的時候，除了使用besides外，還有哪些方法可以表達「除了」呢？

 

• Besides的用法

• 而且 

             這邊作為連接詞來連接兩個子句，或是放在句首來表達「另外；還有；以及；再者」之意的用法，和Plus有一樣的功用。

舉個例子：

Judy: Mommy, can I go to Cindy’s home tonight?

Judy：媽咪，我今天晚上可以去Cindy家玩嗎？

Judy’ Mom: Sweetie. You promised me that you would stay at home and finish your homework tonight. Besides, don’t forget you have the exam next week.

Judy’s Mom：親愛的，你答應過我你今晚會待在家把你的作業完成。而且，別忘記妳下禮拜有考試。

• 除了…之外

在這裡的 besides 為介系詞 (prep.)，所以後面要加上名詞或動名詞。

舉個例子：

Besides the one on the shelf, does this shirt come in any other colors?

除了貨架上的那件，這件襯衫還有其他顏色嗎？

• except用法

• 除外、不包含，表示「排除」的關係，意思是「除了⋯之外、不包括某事物」。

這邊要注意一下except for的用法，他和except的用法類似，但是只有except for能放在句首！

舉個例子：

Patty invited everyone in the class except Jessica.

Patty邀請班上全部的人，除了Jessica.

Except for Jessica, everyone in the class was invited.

除了Jessica,班上的每個人都被邀請了。

舉個例子：

He told all of his friends this good news other than his best friend Jimmy, which made Jimmy feel sad.

他把這個好消息告訴所有朋友，除了他最好的朋友Jimmy，這讓Jimmy感到難過。

Other than that no one can fit this job.

除此之外，沒有人能勝任這份工作。

• 除了，此外

in addition to 通常放於句首，和 As well as 有差不多的功用。

舉個例子：

In addition to piano, she can also play the guitar and violin.

除了鋼琴，她還會彈吉他和小提琴。

• aside from用法

• 除…以外

舉個例子：

I have been to every city in Japan aside from Hokkaido. 

我去過日本的每個城市除了北海道。

• apart from用法

• 除了…外

舉個例子：

Aside from Nick, everyone in class passed the Elementary General English Proficiency Test last semester.

除了Nick，班上的每個人都通過了上學期的初級英文檢定考試。

• exclusive of 用法

• 不計…在內，除……之外，不包括在內

舉個例子：

The hotel charges $ 20 per day, exclusive of meals. I think it is under our budget.

這家飯店每天收費20美元，不含餐費。我認為這在我們的預算之內。

• outside of用法

通常我們聽到的“on the outside of…”的意思是表示：在…的外面。但在這裡，”outside of”又有另外一種含義：

• 除了…之外

Outside of accepting the teacher’s proposal, I don’t think you have any better choices.

除了接受老師的提議，我覺得你沒有更好的選擇了。

意思	「此外，除了」的意思。 詞性為副詞。 同義詞： additionally, besides.	「除了…,還有…」的意思。 通常放在句首。 同義詞：as well as. In addition to +名詞= apart from, besides
舉個例子	Mandy is an elementary school teacher. In addition, she is a yoga teacher in the community. Mandy是一名小學教師。此外，她還是社區的瑜伽老師。	In addition to sports, Noah is also good at studying math. He always got the highest score in our class. 除了運動，Noah還對數學很擅長。他總是得到班上最高的分數。

	用法	例句
Besides	表示後面提到的東西是被「包括」進去的。 相異字： in addition to	Besides Jenifer, everyone else passed the math test. 除了Jenifer以外，其他人也通過數學考試。
Except	表示後面那項東西是被「排除」在外的。 Besides的相反。 except for後面不能接從句，只能加名詞或名詞片語。	Everyone passed the math test except Jenifer. 大家都通過數學考試，除了Jenifer. The bird is totally green except for its yellow wings. 這隻鳥除了翅膀是黃色的以外，其它地方都是綠色的。
Apart from	可以當作「包括」和「排除」。	Apart from Jenifer, everyone passed the math test. 要看上下文判斷 除了Jenifer，大家都通過數學考試。 除了Jenifer以外，其他人也通過數學考試。
